Why write a forgiveness letter?

Yesterday, I had an argument with someone, and they refused to acknowledge my feelings, which left me feeling so angry! I left the conversation feeling unworthy of acknowledgment and an apology. I slept on those feelings and let them fester overnight which led to a restless night, bad dreams and feeling incredibly yucky this morning. Forgiveness was the last thought on my mind.

My commute to work didn't help the situation at all. Instead of focusing on my motivational podcasts, I kept reliving the fight over and over again. My feelings became even more negative, and by the time I made it work, I was ready to cry.

I couldn't cry, but I wanted to which shows you how upset I was.

Two Ways To Embrace Your Self Always

Two Ways To Embrace Your Self Always

Embrace Yourself

I remember being 12 and desperately wanting to be part of the popular crowd. My goodness, I was desperate to have one good friend. At the age of 12, I’d switched schools and knew no one. My body was starting to develop, and I was super self-conscious. I knew there to be “secret” criteria that made you be “in” the “in the crowd, ” but I had no clue what they were. I was navigating a strange world without the GPS.

So, I'm talking about gifts but what the heck do I mean by that? I am referring to the parts of you that are naturally a part of you. The parts of you that connect you with your core and make you feel centered without much effort. The gifts that you came into this world with but are probably constantly denying.

Three Reasons Why My 3-Year Old is Still My Muse

Three Reasons Why My 3-Year Old is Still My Muse

Muse (noun): a person who is the source of inspiration for a creative artist

Last year I wrote a blog post called "Three Reasons Why My 2-Year Old Is My Muse". It’s posted on my family/mommy blog because at the time I was excited to have published a children’s book, but I wanted to talk to my mommies here as to why my 3-year-old deeply inspires me every day.

My life has been a series of changes: I’ve rarely had much consistency because I was always changing. I changed my career often (and still do), I changed my likes, I changed the foods I ate. It wasn’t until I had my son that I was motivated to slow down, listen to myself and accept myself for who I am.
