Hey Momma, Who or What is your Priority?

I didn't use the word priority in my life until I had a child. I didn't see the point. When I was single, I only had to worry about myself. My priorities were only me, myself and I. Then I became a mother and everything changed.

I spent the first year of my son's life devoted to him. Everything I did centered around his well-being and I completely disregarded my own. I started going down a rabbit hole of anxiety because I convinced myself that being his mom was my only acceptable role in life.

From that day on, I realized that priorities shift as your life changes. When your child has an allergic reaction, their life becomes the immediate priority. When your parent is need of a ride to an important appointment they become the priority. However, I want to get a point across to you. At the end of the day, you decide who or what is a priority in your everyday life.

Priorities

Life comes at you fast but you remain at the center of it all. So you decide what or who is a priority in your life. I am not telling you what your priorities should be but I am asking you to be flexible and forgiving of yourself. You will not always meet everything on your list but you can make sure you focus on your priorities daily.

Here is your chance to figure out what or who your priorities are.

The journal page below walks you through the steps to decide on your priorities.

Download your page and work through the questions. Once you have created a list of your top three priorities, use them as a guide. For you to feel your best self it is important to meet your needs by giving attention to the priorities you have listed for yourself.

I would love to hear what kind of list you came up with. Mine are feeling comfortable (safe), my son and love for family. Leave me a comment with your list below.
