Christin Morgan is a Registered Dietitian specializing in emotional eating and weight loss. She has experienced many of the struggles other women have when it comes to losing weight. She works to support her community by providing free support in her private Facebook Group, the LiveLoveLose Cafe. In addition, her signature weight loss program, LiveLoveLose, will be releasing in early 2017. This program puts an emphasis on learning how to overcome emotional eating through finding life balance, increasing self esteem, using self coaching skills and good nutrition.

Hey Momma, Who or What is your Priority?

I didn't use the word priority in my life until I had a child. I didn't see the point. When I was single, I only had to worry about myself. My priorities were only me, myself and I. Then I became a mother and everything changed. 

I spent the first year of my son's life devoted to him. Everything I did centered around his well-being and I completely disregarded my own. I started going down a rabbit hole of anxiety because I convinced myself that being his mom was my only acceptable role in life.

Your Opinion of Yourself is The One That Matters

I suck at accepting compliments. Praise is wonderful to hear, but I automatically start blushing, get tongue tied and want to run away. I'm sure if I dig deep I will figure out the root of this reaction. Most of the time I don't believe the compliment I receive is true. 

Receiving compliments is a sign that you are doing something well, that you are loved, and/or admired. The compliments feel good when you hear them, but they are dependent on the opinions of others on your actions.

Compliments = Positive Judgement

The Baby, The Miscarriage, and  The Mom

I am blessed. When I look at my family, my home and my life, I know that I am blessed. I give my gratitude to the powers that be every day. However, there are moments when I just can't say thanks, when I question my purpose on earth. There are moments when I question everything.

My husband and I are thankful for our vibrant, intelligent and spirited son. I became a mother after a flurry of quick decisions. I had a burning desire to have a baby. I knew my husband (boyfriend at the time) was the person I wanted to raise a child with, and we were ready.
